Invisible Tears

Invisible tears fall from her eyes.
Why can’t anyone hear her cries?

Loneliness and depression overtakes her soul.
She wonders who to go to so she can unfold.

She cries her eyes out with invisible tears.
Screams her heart out with mistaken fears.

Yet not a word was spoken of the night
When she made an attempt to make things seem right.

She took the knife, slid it across her arm.
Never has she cried so hard.

She screamed her heart out as her breath ran low.
She thought of the past and of things they’d never know.

She didn’t want to end her life
Yet once again she grabbed the knife.

She screamed so loud as she cut herself deep,
“This is for the pain that you never could see!

This is for all the times you left me down!
This is for all the times you pushed me around!”

She held her breath and closed her eyes
As bloody tears fell from her eyes.

As we buried her in the pouring rain,
All we could feel was emotional pain.

She suffered so long deep within the world,
No one cared to save this girl.

She looks upon us every night,
Understands why so many resort to the knife.

She will never be there to help them out
For her life is gone without a doubt.

No tears fell onto the ground.
No screams were heard from all around.
