hey grandma,
how have ya been

i'm being good down here like you always told me to,
and i really love the ring upon my finger

hows those white skies
the blankets of clouds you lay upon
i hope there treating you good up there
cause you deserve only the best

i think of you every day
and every night before i fall asleep

we really wish you could be here with us this christmas
it truly wont be the same grandma
who will bake the pumpkin pie,
and who will watch the christmas carols with us,

so as i look at the stars tonight
i'll be asking you all the questions i have about this life,
the questions you were always there to answer,

i'll tell you all the newest jokes,
cause i always did love to make you laugh

and i look at the brightest star
just to say i love you grandma
