it was 3 am
and you had me shaking

in a daze
i'd willingly get up
each day
to see you're lovely face
and hear that voice
just sprinkling the air
with an amazing feel
that filled my lungs
felt the best i had
in a long time
and had a smile
that couldn't be erased
what happened now
look what you did now

had me hanging there
waiting
and you pushed me
out of your daze
and into confusion
what happened to you
and all your sweet talk
the "i cant wait to see you"
and the kisses
that left a tingle on my lips

you took my heart
and ran with it
leaving me and the rest
of my sorry emotions behind
a punch in the stomach
a loss of air
what goes on in your head
when you think of me
and those hours we spent
talking
and planning
what do you think about now
that you see
those tears of pain in my eyes
what happened to the lust
that once had me captured
and amazed
i never felt so great
in my entire life
and i've never been this hurt
until i felt you
