4 Walls

I'm confined within these walls
My heart my own dominion
The higher that I reach,
my hopes fall down deeper.
A single light, a day, that shines
through the darkness, for love will not obey the will of a soul.

These walls that are erected
hold back a pain that hides
No window for the moment
in which truth can shine through
I sit here in a corner with four
walls in my sight. Bare and holding
nothing. Reminecent of this life.

My walls are forever
built to last a lifetime
To withhold a dark secret.
A love never to be told.
Because it's dominion is my heart.
To which I never controlled.
