Dead in a Manger

Away in my coffin
My body lay dead
The devils and angels
Wrestled in my bed
The stars were not out
To shine where I lay
My poor little body
Now rests in a grave

The people arent crying
While I lay alone
All they keep on saying is
We shouldve known
The casket is closing
To block out the light
And now my forever
is nothing but night

Dont talk little children
Just learn to stay young
For when you grow older
You'll lose all your love
Dont tie yourself down
To one hopeless dream
Living for nothing
Is more than it seems
