It’s in your touch; in the way you hold me tight.
It’s the peacefulness that washes over me,
Like a wave upon the sand.
It carries me away
To a heavenly place.
It’s like the world has stopped turning;
There’s only you.
I lay beside you,
Warm in my bed.
The snow is falling silently in the pale moonlight,
Glistening and gleaming just outside my window.
It’s so pure and beautiful,
Like the way I feel here with you.
You wrap your arms around me and hold me close,
You whisper in my ear that everything’s all right.
Your sweet kiss on my forehead is like a gentle breeze
From the wings of an angel.
I look up into your eyes
I can see into your heart, your soul.
Our lips touch;

We’re so close;

But we can’t be together.

My heart is still bleeding.
The tears are streaming down my cheeks now.
I feel your gentle kiss on my neck.
You cradle my face in your hands,
Reach up and wipe away my tears-

The glow from the candle lights up your face.
I look deep into your eyes,

Searching.

Can’t you see how perfect we are for each other?

But I waited for you.
She took my place while I was away;
Thousands of miles away.
I can’t believe that I was so blind,

But you loved me.

What we had was too perfect.

Especially over someone you didn’t even have feelings for.
You didn’t love her.
You were still in love with me the whole time.
You still are.
You brush the last tear from my face,
And kiss my weeping, glassy blue eyes.
I feel a tear fall from your eyes.
It hits my heart…
I still love you too.
“I forgive you.”
And with one last kiss
And the faint touch of your suave fingertips,
So sweet on my velvety smooth skin,
I fall asleep to the sound of you breathing,
Our two hearts beating as one,
To the same rhythm,
Until the end of time.
