I could walk away a thousand times and never leave at all—
Arms forever outstretched to catch you, should you fall.
I’m lying in the empty space beside you when you sleep,
I’m in the wind that dances ’round you as you dream.

The air you’re breathing now has passed my lips before,
Searching for a satisfaction, wanting only more.
My paradise, my savior, my only dream tonight—
You are the flame within the darkness I will always fight.

The fog is growing steady and my strength becoming thin.
I lose myself to shadows as I feel my fingers slip.
Emerging from the unseen, I see you standing near.
You grasp me tight and pull me out to save me from my fears.

Your memory remains enough to keep my heart alive,
Even with time bearing down, our love will always thrive.
And in the darkest of my nights, I can look up at the moon—
Remember you, your gentle touch, know I’ll be with you soon.
