she cries diamond tears
that fall like bricks on the ground
she conceals her fears
and whimpers without a sound
keep holding on

transparent grins
cannot hide the reality that lurks within
her life's painting
shattered
the shards were barely picked up
but nobody knows anything is the matter
keep holding on

a once glowing star
becomes a dull speck
a once composed girl
becomes a messy wreck

There is no time to clean up
only hide
no time to fix it
just time to look alright

a now stone heart
longs to be alone
but the thoughts linger
its all too much
she cannot keep holding on
