she layed in her bed
crying tears for everything that was supposed to go right
but it never did
she pulled the covers above her swollen blue eyes
and hid

her best friend walked in
and lay beside her
dont cry your pretty tears
because im here
i came to save you
save you from everything
that came to harm you

she said it was hard to stand
without any sight
but i told you I'd come
I'll make everything alright

she started to spill out everything from her heart
she told me she hated it here
alone in the dark
and if she was alone for long enough
she would probably fade away

i took her hand
and i knew that all she held in her palm
was killing her
leaving her empty

she told me she wished upon stars
before she knew it
they fell crashing to the ground
dim and diminished
she wasnt even finished

she told me to save her from herself
her heart stopped beating long ago
but she put a fake smile on
and never let it show

ill save you from this bitter life
here my heart is still slowly beating
i can hardly take this life
that we are both constantly leading

i promise ill be here
when the sky comes crashing down
i thought about a conclusion for hours
this is what i found

i know a few things for sure
that we'll save eachother
in every little unheard plea for help
that ill wipe every tear from your porcelin face
and we'll fix our hearts together
without leaving a trace
from long lost love
from cruel selfish words
from their stabs and blows to our fragile feelings
I'll save you
