Why You?

Why do I make you cry?
Do I make you jealous?
I try not to.
Sit I must
And think before I act
Wonder what I will say.

Why do I love you so much?
You are my everything.
Love without you, is love with no heart.
Me after you,
So I hope you think and wonder the same
Much and much more.

Why do I expect so much of you?
You are intelligent and gifted.
Hold a note or a pen.
Me is all you think about,
So think about yourself and things you hold
Dear to you.

Why do you wish of death?
You have what most people want.
Put down the horns and raise the halo.
Up with the angels
With your golden heart
Me at your side.

Why do you give in?
You are strong and have a heart.
Let no one chase you.
Tears may not run down your face.
Run not and fear not.
Down the corridor is a light.

Why do you blame yourself?
You have done nothing wrong.
Blame no one for it is written
Yourself is not to blame
For you are an angel
Me as your wings.
