watch that rogue girl
drink from a bottle
and wipe with her sleeve,
ugly enough to be beautiful,
she's not going to stay,

watch that rogue girl
climb out her window
and into the street,
running towards the darkness
all dressed in white,

college never came
and winter never left
with her favorite coat
she'll run for the summer
while it's still night,

watch that rogue girl
aspiring to silence
while they laughed out loud,
with love in her eyes
she starts for the beginning
all dressed in white.
