The point of it all
Is straight and clean,
Though most who are searching
Have already seen
That one single point
Doesn't exist,
But rather several
To explain this...
This thought of being...
To think... to exist.
The answers are simple,
They're all around,
They're in your friends,
The sky, and the ground.
Those who have looked
Seldom have found
This point which resides
Right here in this town.
This point can be seen
Right here in this room,
Regardless of pain,
Depression and gloom,
The woman just wed,
And her new groom.
The elements lay
Right there in that bed.
The heart in her chest,
The brain in her head.
In all the ''I love you''s
These lovers have said.
Love and trust
To name just a few.
Not what you think,
But more what you do.
For every ''I love you,''
An ''I love you too.''
To freely give
Your love and soul;
To brave the heat,
The rain, and the cold;
To sometimes be sweet,
And others be bold;
To give all you have
From now 'till you're old.
The point is in her
And the man by her side;
Right here in this town
Where two lovers reside.
This point, you wonder,
What does it describe?
It is the point we all search for,
The meaning of life.
