Confusion building,
truth sinking in
Hard, cold realization
preventing the slightest grin
So much that was there,
all that seemed true,
disappearing suddenly,
not leaving a clue
Sometimes it's there
Sometimes it's not
This constant change
results in deep thought
Very deep thoughts,
how things should be,
desperately wishing
to be able to see
why things are changing,
why it can't be one way,
why the choice can't be made
to let go or to stay
