You've stolen my heart
and broken my soul
and hurt me in ways
that you'll never know.
You've taken my emotions
and ripped them in two
and left me feeling empty
with nothing to do.
I'm drained of all value
and flushed of all pride
and so totally empty,
sort of devoid inside.
I plaster a smile upon my face
and show nothing to the world
and act as if nothing unusual
has ever unfurled.
