Just To Impress You...

I remember that day,
It was rainy out side and nothing was going my way.
I walked in your direction, sensing you being unbalanced,
I should have listened to what I sensed.

You left me later that day,
Leaving me to cry, like my eyes were pouring rain.
I felt a cold seep into my heart,
I sensed my soul being consumed by the dark.

The very next day, *You're different,* that's what you said.
I glared at you for you had no idea what was going through my head.
*Why did you leave me?* was what I asked.
You rolled your eyes like I shouldn't have done that.

*I swear I'd do it,* I mumbled to myself.
And you asked *Do what? Or are you talking to yourself?*
*I swear I'd rip my hear out, just to impress you.
But for me, that's something you'd never do.*
