The girl sits,
Still as stone,
"Don't leave me," she says,
Tears in her eyes,
Her lover takes her hand,
"Don't leave me,"
she repeats,
Her lover blinks,
And looks the other way,
"Please," she says,
Her eyes large and watery,
Her love closes their eyes,
And leaves,
The girl sobs,
She brings out a knife,
She slides it down her arms,
She bleeds,
And lets out struggling silent screams,
A mixture of tears and blood,
Stained on her bed covers,
The blood writing on the wall,
"No One's There," in red,
She lifts the knife,
She digs it deeply in her wrist,
The girl carves a heart,
With a creak the door opens,
The girl covers her wrist,
Everything is blurry,
Her love slowly approaches her,
And her love pulls her hand from her wrist,
Her love frowns,
She weeps harder,
Her hand rests in her love's,
More blood escapes her,
Everything fades,
Her love's shadow remains,
She now knows suicide's not the way,
"I love you always," she whispers,
And her eyelids fall shut.
