I killed god today
And threw his body away
Jammed the spear of hate right through him
And let him sit and sway.

I never heard his voice
Was deaf to his cries
Too little to late it seems
He never heard me too

I screamed and called him names
As my eyes burned beneath my tears
Cast my fists in anger
Toward the sky darkened by fear

I begged to grant me mercy
To take away this pain
But now he has lost so much
Now he will never gain

A soul that once was pure
Now battered and bloody stained
I killed a god today
And threw my soul away.
