her uncharted land

And lets says sorry again
Pull the covers over us
Turn off the lights
Put your arms around me,
Please hold my hand

My heart these days
Its nothing like it used to be
You’ll soon come to the realization
That it is only paper-thin
Easily torn apart
Far from wrinkle free

I couldn’t say I missed you
Cause I don’t
I’m not the same woman
The things I do are only lies
Nothing to be true

The old me would miss you
She would miss you there
She would miss your eyes,
The smell of your hair

And its pathetic to hold it all in
There’s things I can’t do alone
It’s just a different day
With the same ol’ feelings

I never put some much trust in something
As much as I put in us
Until I was too scared to turn to you
Until I convinced myself the hole time it was only lust

She sat down glass in hand
Opening the bottle of her new self
A bottle of lies
Her trip to her new uncharted land
