A Tattered Cliche

Tears of black,
Eyeliner smeared
People attract,
How this is feared.

Screams of horror
Scream of pain
Screams of reality
I feel so insane.

Never again,
Will I be used liked this.
Never again,
Will i want happiness.

Screams into the pillow,
Turn into sweet whimpers
I'm losing control
All I want is one simper.

Short bangs of a man
Walking on wooden floor
Closer and closer
With an opening door.

More sounds on the floor,
Coming closer to me
Then a shore of tears,
And knuckling knees.

He falls to the floor,
Sitting by my bed
Bawling his eyes,
From what has been said.

He didn't mean to say it,
But neither did I.
We've taken some hits,
Had our many cries.

'I'm sorry, I love you'
Is such a cliche
I'm not sure if we'll get through,
But that's the price to pay.

We may get through this
May be happy again,
This might be a new beginning
Or a dreadful dead end.
