different person

When I was little
I was cheerful
Nothing bothered me
Nothing hurts me
Except for a scraped knee
But mommy kisses it away.

Now I am older
Pain hurts me more
More than ever
I can’t descript it to my mommy
Because she won’t understand
It’s just something
I got to live with
Now and then

Feels like I am a different person
From who I use to be
That crying little baby
To a teenager trying to overcome my fears
My enemies
My tears
Hiding everything that hurts me.

Slowly, Jesus gives me courage
Came to my rescue
Gives me faith
Slowly, I become stronger
Like nothing will ever hurt me again
Not even a broken
Because
Jesus is always here
For us.

God bless
