WHISPERS FROM A LOVE

I was once in love
With a sweet, young man
That was as lovely as a dove
And as fun as playing in the sand
After leaving him one quiet day
To go to class
I should have know
That soon he would be my past
I herd the gun shot
And dropped to the floor
I got a bad feeling
And my heart became sore
I started to cry
Thinking the worst
For he was my breath
And my only thirst
When it was all over
I went to his class
And saw him lying there
Bleeding fast
Outside watching him get driven away
The wind blew
And I herd a voice say
"I LOVE YOU"
