Far From Home

Faking radiance in a crest clean smile hoping for
A chance to cut loose this packaging around me, able to
Release all that I place under lock and key, allowing it to

Flow without filters, like my spirit could when it would
Roam freely and always end up
Over familiar ground inside
My own bedroom

Having to find a way to see
Openings between these
Massive walls that paralyze my freeness
Ever wishing I wasn’t so lost and intent upon searching for more
