A Story of Truth

A leopard never changes it's spots
And old habbits never die
Or so they say
So tell me what I'm to do now
I'm hanging here on the edge
If what they say is true
I guess I'll never walk again

Watch the pieces shatter
As I fall off this ledge
And whatever you do
Don't answer my cry for help

These eyes have cryed an ocean
And your's have witnessed it all
Each time I try to reach beyond darkness
Hands are cold and hearts are ice
When the slightest bit of warmth comes through
Wind blows and the sun freezes over

Watch the pieces shatter
As I fall off this ledge
And whatever you do
Don't answer my cry for help

Rescue me from this barren desert cliff
Life is just a mirage
All that is real is an illusion
And the illusions are turning to dust
Just like the grains of sand
They are waiting for a storm to come along
And take them away with the wind

Watch the pieces shatter
As I fall off this ledge
And whatever you do
Don't answer my cry for help
