Fleeting Moment

Days no longer hold value
Hours pass like seconds
Weeks as mere moments
Until the night comes

Standing amidst awe
Beings of light and darkness,
gods good and evil,
Knowing not where to run

We ask how this all began
and how it will all end
Did it all appear?
Will it all burn?

Nightfall comes again
Reclaiming the day's secrets
Seconds become seconds
And years are once again years

We run direction-less in the dark
Screaming, chanting, singing,
"Towards Heaven or Hell,
Let us leave now."
