Battle-Worn Wings

Take my broken wings, my
Wings with shattered bones,
Show me how to fix them.

Take my stained wings, the
Ones tainted with darkness,
Help me make the pure again

Look at my tattered wings,
Every pinion, every down ruffled
And tell me I'm not perfect

Look at my battle-worn wings
Insubstancial as they are,
Battered and broken,
Tattered and ruffled,
Stained and tainted,
And know I still can fly....
