my mistake

he said come my love and rest your broken heart upon my pretty hands
and he spoke to her
as she slowly ran her fingers along his flawless cheek

he said i am made only of perfection
and you are of many wrongs

i am filled full of hope
and all that lay at your feet
still remain your broken dreams

he said,
this is my heart for you
made of stone
full of hate
could you bare the pain of peicing it back together
will you be my lover, my friend, my mate

can you do the things
that only in my dreams i see
could you lay yourself down on my bed
singing me that love song
the one that constantly subsides in my head

and she began,
will you teach me to grow
to see the light
to learn to love you
every little thing i must know

and you may be my mistake
a daring chance
that i'd willingly take
my cloud of dreams
a bucket of your tears
that are only fake

but i am of an open mind
a warming heart
and behind each dark corridor
i believe there is something to find
