his fire

And how was it this time around
When you so naively gave up
Tore off your outer shell
Put your heart in the paper napkin
And so effortlessly handed it directly to him
How did it feel when he was deceiving you
How did it feel as your heart hit the floor

Did he whisper to you all his fantasies
Did he tell you how much he respected you
And everything he loved about you
Did he take you too all the places he knew she would not go

Every one of his tender touches
Was just another one of his lies to you
Spoken through actions
Slid between his crooked words

Do you feel achieved
Smothered in everyone of his feebleminded games
And do you still believe in everyone
Remains an ounce of immeasurable good

Please pull you head from your cloud of purple dust
Can you see the evils through all the smiles
They were only fake
Just put on display

And don’t play with fire
If you can’t bare the pain of being burned
And you were only here to loose the game of tough love
It’s what happens under the circumstance
Playing in his ring of fire
