Swallowing poison,
vials of faded passion,
gulped down out of misery,
to blind the circus in my mind.
You're like a carnival,
never quite what you seem,
distorted like light across the room,
casting shadows from a flame.
Labyrinths evolving,
gateways you made now cold,
in the jungle of love
as the wind knocks.
Tasting salty lips,
sinking in slowly, cutting wounds,
gasping for resistance
to your gravity.
