colorless eyes like winter
smile unknown, unfamiliar
body, merely bones
flesh bound

morose beauties like deadened lilies
self-pity paints a pretty picture
till the sorrow stains tapestries
authenticating itself in the nothingness of heart

thread-like tears have come to an end
her captive walls are caving in
gravestones can only seize their gleam
while the scent still cannibalizes and stings

reclusive tendencies wrap around skeletal faces
pulling them inward with almost unnoticeable breaths
tattooing vulgar phrases one once lonely skin
destined as even lonelier

a plead for attention, morphed into a life of death
long-standing additives of blue now carved in stone
weary rocks crack with age
no matter how bold they once sang

thread-like tears have come to an end
her captive walls are caving in
gravestones can only seize their gleam
while the scent still cannibalizes and stings
