Contradiction

No need to tell me
Or confide in me anymore.

No worries about what I'll think.
Ever need something,
Ever wish to say anything,
Do it on your own.

Tears running from your eyes,
Over your cheeks,

Working their way to your chin.
Oak Tree they call me,
Running to me for answers,
Regreting not asking me.
You can't tell me everything,

I know that now.

Ask much of you, I do,
Making your problems mine.

There isn't much I can do.
Here I am,
Everywhere else I'm not.
Regret a lot I do,
Ever wondering what I can do.

Fail a lot I do,
Over and over again.
Reminising in the past,

Yielding to my love for you.
Over challenges I hurdle,
Uttering I love you.
