Summer Days

Vast meadows
calm cool breezes
Lilli pads floating on rivers
wood peckers pecking away at trees
little kids playing hide-and-seek
mosquito's biting away at their flesh
The aroma of bug spray floats around
kids whining because it stings
As the day goes by the air gets sticky and humid
Bugs of all sort swarm around your eyes
Kids whine of boredom
parents could care less because they have beer and a topic to talk about
As the evening rolls into night
parents come to conclusion
They all drift away in there smooth Cadillacs to begin another summer day
