A child
Of only five
Years of age
sits in a crowded
Room in a class room
Teachers and kids chatting
abd playing together
but the child with the blank
Stare
But no one knows
Knows of what happens at home
Her dark eyes
Blankly starring ahead of her
In a world
of love and peace
But the blank stare turns
into a look of fear
as she is getting home
For her daddy beats her
and her mommy does nothing
to stop
She enters the classroom
yet again one day
and only has a blank stare
They are assigned to
Draw a pictue of what
they love and write about
it
She drew a picture of
her world
and wrote
"Daddy hates me here
Mommy doesnt love me
So I live here
Everyday"
The teacher grades them
The blank stare is broght
Upon the teacher when she calls
the child up to talk
For the blank stare
means she is in her
world
