Anthem of goodbye

Yeah, once again its me against her
Its your choice I'm tired of trying to win you over
Why arent you answering when you say you're at home
Maybe you're there but I guess you're not alone
And thats alright, I could wait my turn
But I never know when its mine for sure
When I'm by myself laying on my couch
Its her who your arms are placed around
I've seen this before, no, I'm not clueless to this mess
But I'm a great pretender, havent you heard I'm the best?
I'll smile when you're here and act like were alright
But then I'll cry into my pillow because you're not here to fight
When you come around youre not even here
You left your love with her and shes keeping it near
So I only get half when she always gets whole
Its not to hard to see why I'm always losing control
I'm sick of being compared to her beauty, showing me what I'm not
Somewhere along the way, my feelings for you were lost
So I guess this is my anthem, my one last whisper goodbye
And you can be with her forever by your side
I know I'm giving you what you want, no matter how hard it is for me
Because I know that what you want is a chance to be free
