The Same Stand Out

You say you're different,
you look the same to me.
I seem to be the only one to notice,
the only one to really see.

If you want to be different,
then you have to be the same,
turn into the person,
you often tell is lame.

Because everybody's different,
they all try to stand out,
but blending in's too easy,
the concept no one's able to mount.

Different isn't different,
different has changed,
it's no longer baggy clothing,
and your hair nasty and manged.

Indy music's heard by everyone,
blaring through the airwaves,
and death metal's played at football games,
prep's headphones, and metal slave's.

Conformity's just what we do,
don't try to fricken' change it,
'cause someone's always just like you,
you will always just quite fit.
