The One in the Corner

She's the one in the corner.
The one who doesn't smile.
The one with the hair in her face.
The one who won't talk for a while.

She's the one in the corner.
Her clothes old and worn.
Her sleeves to her hands.
Her face is forlorn.

She's the one in the corner.
The one with the pretty face.
The one some boys like.
The one filled with disgrace.

She's the one in the corner,
Few friends, many foes.
The boy with her loves her,
but she doesn't know.
