"THE SANDPIPER"~*...

As I walked the boardwalk,
On a bright and sunny day,
I saw a little fellow,
He was coming my way,

He wasn't very large,
But yet he wasn't small,
He stood close to the ground,
Where he wouldn't fall,

Walking up to him,
I smiled and nod my head,
As the little sandpiper,
Began to play dead,

Looking down at him,
I moved him with my shoe,
It only seemed so right,
This,for me to do,

Oh little creature staring,
Back up towards the sky,
Wiggling of his tendons,
A wink came from my eye,

The ocean waves came in,
And took him far away,
Little sandpipers duty,
Traveled far on that day,

To be just like the sandpiper,
This I could not be,
Because You see my friend,
His Soul went out to sea.~*....
