The way love parts...

I know you thought I loved you too,
but now I must confess.
That I'm a great pretender,
it seems that I'm the best...
The whole time you were holding me,
I was learning to let go.
And every time you kissed me...
let's just say it wasn't so.
I'm sorry if I hurt you but well,
you tried to hurt me too.
And had I not prepared for pain,
I'd surely fall for you.
And so I watch you walk away,
not regretting my gaurded heart.
I hope one day you'll forgive me,
but that's just the way love parts...
