Make of me what you will

I am not what you think I am.
I am the innocence of a small child.
The hate that lives in a killer.
I am the shyness of the outsiders,
I am the voices of the cheerleaders.
I am nothing and everything all at once.
Make of me what you will,
for you will be wrong.

I am the shadow that haunts your dreams.
That important thought that has gone forgotten.
I am the face of an old friend.
The sorrow that feeds off of death.
Make of me what you will,
for you will be wrong.

I am the smile of the one you love.
I am the burst of energy that keeps a scared youth running.
I am the inspiration of a great musician.
I am the one who speaks but is not heard.
The one that is noticed but not known.
Make of me what you will,
for you will be wrong.

I am the love you yearn for.
The hate that boils in your blood.
The wishes that you dare not tell anyone.
I am in every person.
In every feeling,
in every action.
Make of me what you will,
for you will be wrong.
