I ran as far, as far as I could.
A breath awakening the lungs of a cold hearted soul.
The creature’s eyes were black, black as night, that’s why I ran.
Not for the fear of the creature itself,
But for the eyes and the shame it held.
Tears of bewilderment ran down its depressed face,
With no hope for tomorrow, and no hope for today.
Its actions were helpless,
And soon the creature grew into a mirrored image of myself.
Than I realized my fear was me,
And yet I kept running out of shame.
