Nights of tears falling lonely to their demise,
hopes and dreams shattered between all the cries.
Screams never heard fell swiftly into night,
pains never seen,
darkness hides the light.

Visions of Christ now blinded by lies;
no hope left, to God I have died.
Suicidal thoughts spat from idle hands
while fires blaze throughout the lands;
what a dreadfull sight to see,
darkness hides the light.

Angels burn with broken dreams,
nightmares laced with misery.
Forlorned and dried with rivers aside
fallen from grace under blood-stained skies,
darkness hides the light.

Truth hidden behind feverous eyes,
alone in my dark without a cry.
The light fades off to distant plains;
thrones amist from righteous ways.
The darkness clouds visions of life;
death in sands of perilous nights,
I was never meant to last...
darkness hides the light.
