Heart in an Envelope

I see my tears falling
Like weights upon your heart
From a one-hundred story building
It's not fair I know
But please above anything
Don't let go
Don't let me be the next to fall

Like a saint
Your hand cuts through the darkness
Leading me to believe it might just be okay
But the slam of the closing door
Again brings the stony rain

I put my heart in an envelope
And mail it to you
Hoping you can heal the pain inside
Open it and see
You'll see all the bloody pieces of me

You have it all
Every inch
Of everything I've ever been
And I want it to be you
You who makes the sun shine through the blinds

I'm sullen and wasted
A life spent running from death
But you
You're different

I love you
