One of Life’s hardest lessons is letting go
It is nowhere close to being painless
To let your heart’s strings to detach
After they’re gone, you feel lost and aimless

The pain of letting go is great
It doesn’t fade in a few instants
It last for a long awhile
The hurt is dull and persistent

But this is something to be learned
It will help for the time ahead
To learn this lesson early
And have it hidden in the back of your head

But I’ll let you know this
The pain will eventually lighten
The tears will be long dried
So let that smile brighten

There is going to be hope tomorrow
To see those again you love
The people and the things you care about
To see those again will be heavenly bliss from above

Though this is a heard thing to learn
It is something that is a must
And everything will be easier
Live life with healthy lust

It will all be better after all
Keep this lesson near
Remember everything
And live life without fear
