Fallen Soldier

Fallen Soldier, Fallen Dad not your time to die.

So many asking why as your wife and child cry

Fallen soldier a true Friend your image on my mind

Iraq soil Iraq sand and they wonder why we stand, freedom for a country in
which so many are dammed

Fallen soldier lonely soul you were never destined to go

One last letter which you wrote, In my arms I carefully tote.

As I round the last bend here's a message I must tend

My steps are heavy and so slow. But yet a promise I must tow.

The little town of Jake Fristow is were I must go

Wooden box which now you lay, underneath the dawn of day,

The Red, The White and Blue draped motionless across you

Fallen soldier hear my cry for why must my best Friend die!!

"Dedicated to Jake and his family"
