Days of Yore

It all seems so familiar, as if she’s seen it before
It all seems so crazed; as if it was from the dizzy days of yore
She cries to herself as she searches for an answer
She hopes the weather will cry for her
She lays upon the grave sight peering
Hoping that some how this desolate clearing
Will bring her peace her heart never dared to bring before
She rocks back and forth remembering the rainy days of yore
She hugs herself and cries to the clouds hoping the rain will sound
She hopes the rain will pour, just as in the days yore
She cries to herself and wonders how, just as she touches the ground
She hopes again and again that it will be just as it was back then
