A Castle

On a rock there stands a Castle,
All around is bare.
The only thing that can be seen:
An ocean of despair.

The walls are all cracked and breaking,
Everything of value gone.
Underneath a quake is shaking
Everything this Castle's on.

It didn't used to be this way,
The grass was green, the sky was blue,
The land was Bright as if to say,
''All the world will be okay.''

But nothing good will last forever,
Skies and fields flood with rain.
Everything once hopeful and Bright,
Is slowly replaced by darkness and pain.

Changes for the worse,
To everything once gold,
The Brightness was your love,
This Castle is my soul.
