Side by side in the movie theater
Feeling as nervous as can be
She glances over to her best friend
who isn't watching the flick
but is engulfed in her partner's
steamy, passionate kiss.

He catches her longing look
at the couple so close
they could be one
Then she glances back at him
their eyes meet
he laughs nervously and turns away

She sinks in her seat
She's dreamed for this day for so long
who thought it'd be such a nightmare?
She stares at this handsome creature
sitting there for her
but he's to busy sweating
and twiddling his thumbs
to notice

Once she looks away,
he considers it safe to stare back
admiring her long, black hair
and aspen leaf green eyes
her sun browned skin
just looking desperately for an excuse
to pull her so intimately close
and never let go of her

On the screen,there is a scene
a scene that frightens everyone
and this boy jumped so high,
that his hand landed on her leg...
just above her knee

OH THANK GOD!
He prays as she looks to his hand,
then to him and just
smiles.

OH THANK YOU LORD!
She mouths silently
and then pulls closer to her date
resting her head on his shoulder.

His smile is as bright as day
and he can't help it
he moves as close to her
as his seat will allow him
and drapes his arm
around her shoulder.

What next, what next!
she frantically screams in her head
for she doesn't want
this continuing action to end
So she takes her head off his shoulder
leans elegantly into him
and rests her upper body
in his lap.

He tries his best
not to laugh out loud from glee
and puts an arm around her body
that lies right below her chest.
with his other hand
he crosses his fingers tightly
and hopes she won't swat his arm away

She feels a surge of delight
from the closeness of her body to his.
she caresses his legs with her head
she's distorting the hair
that took an hour to style
but she doesn't care.
she closes her eyes
and cherishes the heat of his body

Caught up in the moment,
his hand that was crossing fingers
quickly moves up the back of her leg
he closes his eyes and pleads
his heart thumps
as he finally gets the courage
to rest his arm over her waist
and his hand
on her hind quarters

her eyes open a little alarmed
and she knows she can't be so easy
because she just met him.
she looks back and lifts his hand
giving it a light and affectionate spank
she drapes his arm
around her waist.

He feels a surge of humiliation
like a little kid in a timeout chair
but when she smiles up at him
and shakes her head
he knows it is all okay
between them.

she lays back down
and closes her eyes again
knowing she won't have to worry
about disrespect anymore
then she feels it...
the kiss planted on the top of her head
as an apology.
To say "I forgive you"
she pulls his head down level with hers
and embraces this beautiful boy
in a hot, intimate, kiss

and him??
he kissed back.
