Naive Smiles

Laying here in my bed,
The days events flash through my head;
Things I wish to just forget;
A wish to regain lost innocence.

She continues to taunt
And continues to haunt,
For she knows the one thing i need
Is for her to be here next me.

The greatest crime man can achieve:
To to give false hope to those in need
Of real substance or real care
Not just naive smiles for them to wear.
