I've Finally Fallen

I’ve seen my world end twice,
Seen it fall through my finger tips,
Like the tears that braved the fall,
Their salt left to chap my lips,

I’ve been broken like promises,
And shattered like porcelain dreams,
I’ve stepped on their pieces,
Bleeding and forgetting to scream,

I’ve never held mercy in my hands,
For the ones who made me cry,
And I’ve never felt death breath upon me,
Though I’ve tried,

I’ve felt my life jolt from backlash,
Of the things I’ve done from where I’ve been,
Unable to hit the breaks,
Unable to stop the spin,

I’ve crashed into a million situations,
Watched myself burn out from within,
My fire gone when theirs remains,
Leaving scars below the skin,

And now I've finally fallen in the best way,
All the truth I knew suddenly untrue,
And I bless the day I didn't know,
I was going to crash into you.

A/N: I know my rhyme scheme isn't perfect, I tried to get it to flow well,
but everytime I did I ended up mixing up the message and emotion. The set
scheme already mellows the emotion, but it'll have to do.
