A hero

battle cries, unmistakable pain
a never ending burden
a family left to fend for themeselves
while at the same time your trying to keep them safe..
your the men who keep our country in order
who would die for the life of an innocent stranger
you hold your guns at your sides and your hearts on your sleeves
with pride and courage you'd do anything for your country
When the twin towers fell , you didnt even flinch
you knew you had to do what was right
so you stopped the men who thought they could tear this nation apart
and now here we are, your the glue that keeps us together
with closed eyes and open hearts you take aim on those you barely know,
as these fallen angels get ripped apart , gunshots searing throught their
vains,
the only word you know is VICTORY
why be sympathetic to the people who tried to destroy you?
after all , back home you'll be honored
greeted with the safe smiles of those you love
and seeing those smiles, and knowing that if you wouldnt have been where you
were, they wouldnt be there
is the perfect reason to kill anyone who tries to destroy it.
but despite all this ,
you are the sons of your nation
the role models for people all over the world
and to me, someone who would've died without you,
you are a hero
