Life Among The Stars

I could look up to the stars.
Imagine I was there.
Pretend that someone loved me.
Wishing that they cared.

Dreaming of being,
Among a million stars.
With Mercury, Pluto...
And the life that lives on Mars.

Maybe that which lives on Mars,
Is better than what's here.
Because no one here knows what they want,
and the truth is never clear.

Among the stars it's peaceful.
It's as dark as it can be.
You can spend time all alone,
With moonlight to help you see.

Ride upon a shooting star.
Fly across the sky.
Eat all of the Milky Way,
And drink the Dippers dry.

Tell the Moon your secrets.
With no fear of rumors spread.
Gather stars for a nightlight.
And use the clouds to rest your head.

There would be no worries.
Until the daylight came.
Bid farewell to all the stars,
Call them all by name.

And then when daylight breaks,
Relax upon the clouds.
For the night will be back again...
Just enjoy the sunlight now.
